Introduction, position and how to find us
The Domaine is situated in the heart of the winegrowing area of Languedoc Roussillon, away from large cities but close to major roads.
The climate here is the gentlest and sunniest of the whole of France, mild in winter and hot in summer but with refreshing winds. The area is given over to winegrowing, with gentle hills and valleys. There are 2 historic towns nearby, Pezenas, 10 kms away, and Agde, also 10 kms away, and situated on the Mediterranean, with the closest rail and TGV station.
There is easy access by road and train to all the main cities of our regions : Sète, Carcassonne, Perpignan, Collioure, Port Bou, Montpellier (30 minutes), and, further away, Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Marseille, Strasbourg. The A9 autoroute, Mediterranée Atlantique, which links the 2 seas is 6 kms from Nadalhan (exit 34).
The new A75 autoroute, the new north/south axis, is also 6 kms away (exit 62).
The Mediterranean is close : Grau d’Agde, Marseillan Sète are all 15-20 kms away.
The area is excellent for walking and bicycling and a half-day or full-day excursion will take you to many sites of interest. Pézenas and Sète have a loarge choice of restaurants, markets, shops, antique shops, historic sites and museums. Sète and the Etang de Thau are famous for their fresh seafood, notably the famous Bouzigues oysters. You can visit many local wine domaines and taste their produce which is for sale at very reasonable prices.
